About Emily's House
Who are they?
Emily’s House is Toronto’s first and only dedicated children’s hospice, providing a warm, family-friendly haven for children with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. Offering both end-of-life palliative care and medical respite support, Emily’s House is more than just a care facility—it is a place where children and families can find comfort, connection, and compassionate care in their most challenging moments.

For children with complex medical conditions, Emily’s House provides a vital alternative to hospital or home care. With a specialized team of medical professionals, caregivers, and trained volunteers, the hospice focuses on improving quality of life through personalized symptom management, recreation, therapy, and memory-making activities. Whether offering a temporary break for caregivers, transitional care between hospital and home, or a peaceful space for a child’s final days, Emily’s House is dedicated to ensuring every child can live life to the fullest of their abilities.

Beyond medical support, Emily’s House provides a holistic, family-centered approach, integrating parents, siblings, and loved ones through play, music therapy, grief counseling, and legacy activities. Nestled in a welcoming environment with access to green spaces and community destinations, the hospice fosters a sense of normalcy, joy, and togetherness.

As a trusted care provider for families across Ontario—many of whom are referred from SickKids Hospital—Emily’s House continues to be a beacon of hope, dignity, and compassion for children facing life’s most difficult journeys. Your support helps ensure that every child and family who walks through their doors receives the care, love, and resources they need.
